New to Medicaid? Here’s how to join Healthy Blue in Missouri

Healthy Blue works alongside MO HealthNet Managed Care to coordinate your healthcare needs. Before choosing us as your health plan, you’ll need to apply for MO HealthNet benefits first.

Choose the option that works best for you:

In person: Stop by a local Family Support office for face-to-face assistance.

Online: Visit MO HealthNet online to apply from the comfort of your home.

By phone: Call the Family Support Division (FSD) at 855-373-4636, weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Saturdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or Sundays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. central time. You can also request a paper application.

If you qualify, the Family Support Division will send you:

  • A notice confirming your eligibility
  • A MO HealthNet Managed Care welcome letter
  • Your MO HealthNet ID card
  • An enrollment packet with instructions for selecting your health plan

You can change your health plan and choose your PCP one of these ways:

By phone: Call the MO HealthNet Managed Care Enrollment Helpline at 800-348-6627 (TTY 711) weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. (except holidays)

Missouri residents, renewing your coverage

Your MO HealthNet coverage needs to be renewed yearly. We want to make sure you stay covered, so here’s what you need to know.

When it’s renewal time, the Family Services Division will send you a yellow renewal form.

Choose the option that’s most convenient:

In person: Visit your local Family Support office for help with your renewal

By mail: Complete the yellow form and return it promptly. Be sure we have your current phone number and address

By phone: Call the Family Support Division at 855-373-4636, weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Saturdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or Sundays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Central time

Kansas residents, get started with Healthy Blue

Healthy Blue provides comprehensive health benefits through KanCare, Kansas’s Medicaid program, for eligible kids and adults across the state.

Good news: You can apply anytime – enrollment is year-round!

  • Visit the KanCare website to check your eligibility and apply online
  • Prefer talking to a real person? Call 800-792-4884 to apply by phone
  • Remember to select Healthy Blue as your health plan when applying

Once approved, you’ll be assigned to the health plan you selected. You have up to 90 days to make a change if needed.

Kansas residents: Renewing your coverage

It’s quick and easy. Follow these steps to renew your benefits.

You’ll receive a renewal letter from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) when it’s time to renew.

Fill out the entire form and gather any requested documents. For added convenience, you can complete your renewal online.

  • Mail: Send all completed paperwork to the address on your renewal form
  • Online: Submit your renewal through the KanCare website
